Wallaba shingles are a denser, more durable hardwood option that offers a longer lifespan (40+ years) with little to no maintenance, natural fire and decay resistance, and superior hurricane resistance compared to cedar shingles. Cedar shingles have a shorter lifespan (10-20 years without treatment), require regular oiling and maintenance, have lower impact resistance, and are not naturally fire-resistant.
