Filling Your 0il Lamp

• Remove the chimney and unscrew the burner unit from the lamp base.
• Take out the wick from the burner unit and re-thread it into the burner from the bottom, ensuring it’s a single thickness.
• Fill the lamp base with oil, leaving at least a half-inch gap below the top of the neck—don’t overfill.
• Screw the burner assembly back onto the lamp base.
• Allow 5 minutes for the wick to absorb the oil.

Lighting and Adjusting wick

• Raise the wick to 1/4″–1/2″ above the metal burner to light the lamp.
• After lighting, place the chimney back onto the burner, lowering it to just above the metal burner to prevent smoking.
• For different flame effects, trim the wick: peaked for a single flame, crowned for a rounded flame, and notched for a double flame.
• Adjust light intensity slightly by turning the wick control knob.

Tips to avoid Unsatisfactory Performance

After lighting, closely monitor the flame. A high flame causes smoke and soot due to incomplete combustion. If you notice smoke or soot, lower the wick immediately until it stops. Ignoring this can lead to severe smoke and soot damage.
