Renew your worn out alloy barrel with these high quality English made sleeves.
Whether you call them sleeves or liners, there aren’t many close fin 500 cylinders that don’t need new sleeves. Originally supplied in the 50’s as part number FS.2543, Hepolite Cylinder Liners were the top choice of tuners and rebuilders everywhere. The same high standards are employed to make these once again available.
These will fit all 1951-1959 500 pre unit alloy “close pitch fin” cylinders, but will not work for Grand Prix or TR5 “square barrel” 500 cylinders (as those liners were cast in).
We also have standard pistons in high and low compression to match!
Pistons are also available for these in 9:1 and 7:1 compression ratios. These amazing quality pistons are made by LF Harris, and come supplied with pistons, wrist pins, clips, and rings. Part numbers are 70-1563 or E1563 for the 7:1, and 70-3615 or E3615 for 9:1 compression. Order sleeves and pistons in one easy step!
Sleeve O.D is 2.6740″, which is .002″ larger than OEM sleeves and should help insure a better fit on the old Triumph aluminum barrels. The cylinder spigot is the shorter version so be sure to make sure your head is compatible. Skirt cutouts for connecting rod clearance will also have to be machined prior to cylinder boring.
